Mae Rico Suave is one functional and correct male Boerboel! He almost always has taken Breed in AKC and is one Proud boy in that show ring!  One thing I always enjoy seeing is the bond between Rayfield and Rico's nubby is ALWAYS moving, you can tell he truly enjoys showing off!

Although Rico was appraised and scored, we understood from the start that he could not receive official SABBS registration paperwork. The reason lies in his father, WOR Congo. Congo was also appraised and scored exceptionally well but was unfortunately disqualified, not for his quality or structure, but simply because he carries the Piebald gene, which results in excessive white coloring.

 

Despite this disqualification, Congo’s pedigree is rich with exceptional old bloodlines, and he boasts excellent health scores and an outstanding temperament. We chose to breed with Congo, recognizing both his genetic value and the fact that the Piebald gene is recessive, meaning both parents MUST carry it for the trait to appear in their offspring. This thoughtful pairing produced an outstanding litter, healthy, well-balanced, and true to the Boerboel’s loyal and confident nature!
